hi stupidly connected both channels outputs to same sub speaker after about 30 mins Big Bang and would not power up again. What kind of damage have I done. 40 years doing sound never done that before

A big bang you say? Well...that's never good news is it LOL

Expect to have to replace all your output transistors, their associated resistors, and sundry other components that were in the line of fire. Whether it is an economical repair will very much depend on how much you like the amp - quite likely to cost more than 2nd hand value. 

But then, I've spent £500+ having an amp fixed that I bought for £350 so I can't talk Big smile (BSS EPC780, totally worth it!)
