JBL offers a classic High Fidelity sound in their high frequency Compression Drivers/Horns which is why, a lot of Home Audio guys seek out their older components.

Indeed those old JBL's has some special reputation. No wonder, they are very high quality components - one of the best back then. I still use old JBL stuff just because they are reliable and works very well.
