I'm looking to build a couple of ported sub-bass cabinets for my mobile DJ rig, so that I can double up on the bottom end. Was looking for econimical drivers when I seen these. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/1200w-18-inch-speaker-hotsale-bass_60798586440.?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.1.2cdd88c3jAx4kI - https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/1200w-18-inch-speaker-hotsale-bass_60798586440.html?spm=a2700.7724857.normalList.1.2cdd88c3jAx4kI The articles in question are identical to the above product. For reference also being marketd as "BWP-18", but i'm not linking or mentioning names here as it gets a bit polical :-) |

Some of the early ones from him had some build quality issues, they are now ok, for your application they will be good, if your are designing your self then the parameters are quite accurate, post some picks up when you build them.

I guess my next quest will be to work out a suitable enclosure design for mobile use! Hoping to be able to power two of these from a Behringer NX6000DSP. These will be used at larger events where my existing 18" subs don't quite cut it during the heavier tracks like Prodigy and Pendulum.

Fake PD1850S, Behringer amps, this becomes more like a Greek Tragedy, the more that is said..
Why has no one said just get used B&C drivers 'designed' for reflex, and quality used transformer amp, if your budget is 14 year old's pocket money!?

....but, don't you know a system that uses plenty of i-nukes on bass?? And used at 8r per channel (one per channel), are supposed to spank 1850? Cheap equipment used to do bigger gig, could lead to funding better equipment in the future, but basing your future on cheap gear.... Well....

Mate has long got rid of the Berry Inukes.. So many cheap quality transformer amps around now. How much would it cost for 4x Fane 18XBs, and a QSC 4050/ Crest 8001.? That's 2x 2x18s right there, providing nice warm sub.

But the i-nukes probably earnt money above their station. Both routes work, although one has modern DSP... As Errol Dunkley says 'every man do his ting alittle way different' Anyway, sounds like the op stretches his system on just a couple of tracks, where as us on the other hand.... π€ππ

I read this on the site:
To me that means that that minimum order requirement is only for a customised log and or customised box for the speakers; ie if you want to make out that they are genuine 1850's. Just plain speaker with their logo and box - no mention of any quantity requirement Edited by BJtheDJ - 01 December 2019 at 12:49am |

Iβm glad to see you say this. I tend to think it only takes so long to see a better way.
This is more that if you order 100 or more you can setup your own Bishopsound. Edited by toastyghost - 01 December 2019 at 4:10am |

Ok, let's all have a giggle.
Well it 'looks' nice, but you dont buy a driver for its looks do you? It's not till you start reconing one,and compare the coil to a real original PD that you see how they have made it so cheaply. Also beware the chassis will not be as rigid or a strong as the original either. In my experience with chinese drivers, the copies usually have inferior materials and thinner chassis legs. Will it sound like a PD? Somehow i doubt it. |
