Also believe me, proud to have built the 2 sound system for the Yardi film,
18s loaded boxs wasnt the best drivers out there by far...i tested them in the street 4x double 18s 8 drivers , in old skool 5ft high 4/5ft wide vintage built boxs....i was really surprised tha were shaking roof tiles on the houses for quite far away, and not even driving them hard....some low and nice rounded bass man...

Only absolute Moron, or someone who doesn't know what they are talking about/doing, would say Inukes were the cream of the crop. Inuke 6000, could drive 1x PD1850 per channel properly.. What was the 4 ohm rating !? Inuke 12000, could not properly drive 2x PD1850s per channel, without clipping.. What was the 4 ohm rating !? Not everyone can afford big ticket amps, but only idiots believe you can purchase £650 amp new, and get same performance, as £1200 used Void 8MK2, or £2500 used Powersoft K20. The same people who believe Behringer Inukes and other Chinese lightweights, actually provide rated output. Behringer Inuke 6000/12000, cannot outperform Crest CA18 or Crown MA5000VZ, driving 2x PD1850 per channel, on decent mains, talking about 6000W/12000W.

I use an nx6000 (new inuke) to drive 4x 8ohm 600w 12's , literally no problem ever, plenty of power and sound nice, actually sound better in this application than my lab gruppen 2000c

You lot do realize that there are Facebook groups set up to discuss questions to be asked on here to see exactly how much hot air can be produced? Competition winners get a big teddy bear normally named Greta, as homage to the global heating effect... Ffs It's obvious that the i-nuke is the marmite of cheap amps, but a few on here seem to have reasonable results. You don't actually know how the op is going to use it or even if he is in fact a 14 yo with rich parent pocket money. Yes, there is a reason why macro Tec c18 etc are holding their price, but for how long? Can't compare in reality. SP ain't that much fun anymore. Better re name it audio fight club.

Not sure it’s been misconstrued in any way, but my points regarding the driver were;
A. Specs/spec sheets/descriptions were inconsistent. B. Similarities with a PD.1850 - the chassis looks similar and it has a 280 mag, but not a quad set. C. They’re cheap enough if only to experiment with. D. Recone kits will probably be needed because people will buy them and drive them as if they were 1850s because the chassis looks similar and they are coated in snake oil. If they fit your budget and your ear holes then buy them, if not, don’t. OP asked for opinions, he got them. |

That post seemed to cause a storm :-)
So I picked up a cheap STA-3000 and collect a t.apm 2400 which is eaven cheaper in an hour or so. No inukes or NU6000DSP's will be damaged in this experiment... I like the conly costructive response regarding Fane colossous 18XB drivers. They seem good vaue at £220, where the BS ones come in at £150, but are 1200/1500w 8 Ohm which puts the amps out of my zero budget. Are the fane colossous 18XB best bang for buck in the 1000w RMS range for a reflex/ported box? I am playing mixed music for birthdays weddings etc. Get the occasional 'house of dance' Prodigi, 90's trance, house, dance music. |
