Is that to much because if i just look at the specs it should do the job :)

Thanks for the advice !

The rated output would be a bit low but the 8001 is one of the best bass amps ever, are you going to be driving them to death? if not you will be presently surprised by how it sounds, 10004 is a gorgeous amp Smile

It's like you say, i dont think we are going to drive them to death no..
For most of the smaller venues we will be playing i think its more than enough but like i said i'm still a beginner so it's hard to know for sure :)

Think i'll be taking the risk than since you and a lot of other soundpeople keep saying that they sound awesome..

Thanks dor the help man

8001

food for thought...specs state 1250 @ 4 ohms, I bench tested it, it was showing 1850w @ 4 ohms and 22 Hz which is extremely impressive. ..old skool brutes

Dammn impressive that is the least you could say :D
Hopefully its enough to power the newer modern drivers (4 × pd 1850) but if i get youre post right it should be more than enough :)
We will be playing reggae/dub music so lets hope we have a fine bass section with that combination !

Bless !

Yes, but expect a big amount of current draw.

Yep so we have been told :) thats also our biggest concern...
Normaly we will only play if got a decent 32 A supply and will be plugged into our rack powerdistributor with a slow curve. Hopefully thats enough...
You think it would be oke when we do it that way ?

Yes correct only down side to old skool crests , not efficient amps at all comparing to today's amps , tha love big draw currents, way better on a 32a supply...

We'll make sure we have a 32A plug than !
Is it possible to play without a 32 A plug ? Asume they will clip faster and play less loud ?
Maybe some small local venues dont have such powersuply so theres a chance we need to play without in some cases..
