Hello, I have a question about running my tms4 tri amped. I know the 18" is not really a sub. Is there anyone who has done this? Do you have the x-over, delays, polarity etc.

Thanks

4D might still have them though he sold his to me 15 years ago and I can't remember. I will have a look through the DSP and see if the old program is still in there.... it might be, you never know.. why tri amp? the 18 is defo a kick, not a good bass or sub.

The mid top needs to be phase flipped against the bass I seem to remember. great cab's. heavy.
my name is Inigo Montoya...you killed my father, prepare to die!.

18"     +ve polarity, 15Hz 24dB Butterworth to 250Hz 24dB LR
10"+1"  -ve polarity, 3.292ms delay, 250Hz LR

I have to tri amp them because the previous owner removed the original x-over and made it with NL8 connector. I will measure it with smaart just to be sure. Thanks for the reply!

HELL NO!!

The TMS-4 MUST be HPF @ 30Hz LR

proper settings are

18" 30>250Hz, LR24
10" 250>5K3Hz LR24
1" 3K15 > air LR24

Ford is right the 10"+1" are out of phase and the 18" is in phase.

The sub, I am afraid is a hit the button and see what sounds best for + or - phase.

Even a Turbo 21" must have a LR24 30HPF, TMS4 with 12 we run 30>120 on the 21 and move the 18 to 90>250 so it kicks like mule!

Kinda Been there, Kinda done that, YOU COULDN'T handle my bar bill!
