Hi all,

I'm wanting something along the lines of a Martin aq212/ aq215, Thomann Pyrit 212 or JBL ASB6125 but open to anything similar/ cheaper. Can't go any bigger than a dual 15 as it needs to be fairly low profile.

Needs to be a solid enclosure
Unloaded/ loaded - don't mind
Cosmetic condition - don't mind

Please PM me with anything you've got, I'm based in Surrey.

Cheers,

Christian

Sorry, further to the above, the JBL was just an example of the sort of box design I'm after, don't need anything that powerful (or expensive!).

TIA

Christian

I really don't see what you are looking for to be honest, Pyrit 212 is a really good box, powered and processed really well for £500 and a three year warranty, if you want a second hand 2 x 12 box that works and is in good condition you are going to pay half that, add an amp and processing and you are into say £400 and no warranty, the passive Pyrit 212 is only £300, it's a no brainer really.

Thanks for the replies and input. I am strongly considering the pyrit box but I just wanted to post on here to see what's available. I didn't know what I was expecting as it was my first post.

Cheers,

Christian

No probs, if you buy second hand unloaded cabs then ideally you will want to buy the correct drivers they were designed around and if they were say B&C etc you could be spending £2-300 for two drivers new, I'm not trying to be negative just realistic, however if you want passive, cheap, new and can build your own cabs  then there is another really good way round it and it's low profile Smile

Yeah preference would be a loaded cab, but obviously if someone had an unloaded box that they wanted to get rid of, that'd be good for my needs too. Not at >£100 though. I'll leave it a couple more days, see if anyone comes back to me. If not, I'll buy the pyrit passive, it's got good reviews and I have bought from thomann before and been impressed.

I'll update this post if I go ahead with the above.

Thanks again for your advice.

Got the passive thomann box as above - very impressive sub, goes surprisingly deep and fantastic build for the price. Thanks again.
