Wondering what current asking prices are for:

X8
X4L

Not heard good things, about X4, with 2x 8 ohm drivers, per channel.

Obviously gigs are mostly non existent at the moment, but at some time in future, used prices will make it worthwhile, buying one, for hopeful, future events.

I know not recommended, but has anyone here tried X8, with sub on all channels, starting from 40hz up?

Had my mind already focused on X4L soon, but heard today, it is not recommended for 2 ohm per channel use.Confused
I'm looking at 2x 4 ohm drivers per channel of X4L, or 1x4 ohm driver per channel of X8.

Don't put sub through an X4

The 1u size, and the small fan at the back, will make it go insanely loud and get too hot

How do I know this?

I put 2 x 8ohm scoops per channel at a gig in France

Gave it a dedicated 32a 3ph feed as well

The X8 is a different story, though I probably wouldn't want to run each channel at 2ohm with sub all night, the new power supply should do it on the newer ones (the new ones have the same PSU as the X4L)

So that's why I personally split the load and use an X8 per stack, rather than having an amp dedicated to mid tops, and one to sub

I did that for a 3month summer tour last year, and they didn't miss a beat

I have run x8’s on occasion with all sub channels, my normal HPF would be more like 28Hz though. That said, its not really what these amps are designed for, they run far better when using different frequency bands over different channels, allowing the PSU to deliver power to different channels as needed rather than to all the channels at the same time, as would be expected if running all subs.
