Decathlon sell oversized foam tennis balls for a couple of quid.
Cut in half they make excellent foot isolators and cost peanuts to replace when you leave them behind.

Going up one on the ghetto scale, go-kart inner tubes are about the right size for air-cushion isolation.  Put them in a box and it'll almost look pro.

Tony's iso's could be replicated pretty easily (I'm sure he did his last lot before retirement)
It was something along the lines of 15mm soft foam, 15mm mdf, then 30mm firm foam
(sizes are memory guess)
I'm sure they'll cost more to make as one offs than Tony used to sell them for though
