Hello all. I've been searching this forum for a long time as a guest, now decided to register here as I am about to build my first cabinet. After a long research I decided to build a G-Sub. It will serve me as a kick bass above 70-80 Hz to 180-200 Hz. For subs I'm using 2x super scoops with B&C drivers.
My budget is limited at about 900 eur(with amp included), so recommended drivers PD 186s are a bit too expensive. I am wondering how Thomanns 18-500 600w rms will do in the Gsub. Any other drivers recommendations are welcome!
For amp I'm deciding between t.amp tsa 4000 and CVR D1002. Both can run stereo at about 1000w 8 ohms per channel.
What do you guys think? Can you help me out?

PeaceSmile

G sub is also sub oriented, not the ideal cab for kick 70-80 to 180-200.

I heard it many times and it sounds heavy. Instead of kick lets say upper bass.

They will make noise, but 18" speakers won't be that efficient in those upper bass regions.
A bit waste of space and resources really...
A dual BR 15" (especially high efficient ones) in a smaller cab, will make a lot more noise, where you need it.

I see. I might stick with 15 inch reflex build.
