Looking at a internal picture of the chaser, all of the chips are standard 4000 series CMOS logic chips so should be very easy to repair.
Check the Triacs and also the front panel LED's as these also could be faulty. |

Fix it.
To confirm, a picture would help. However it is based on description cmos based and needs no back up psu.
Pulsar ten way chasers offer a plethora of issues due to age and components selected by the manufacture. All of which can be repaired. |

Never criticise another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. Once you have, call him what you like, you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!

I will look into that. Actually after just looking inside the unit I really can't see anything obvious at all ,no burn marks or the like and it is spotless inside ,no tumbleweed of dust anywhere....thanks for the heads up.

It might be worth having a chat with Nev of Zen Audio Works in Taunton to see if he can have a look at it for you.

Ah you’re a way away from me, otherwise I could have looked at it for you. It’s done well to last as long as it has, and the likelihood is many of the components inside will be well past it due to age. However without seeing it is anybody’s guess
