Wondering which cab designs people have tried these in with success.

Anyone tried them in Gsub from this site?

Tried them in some Martin 2x18 reflex copies, results were very mediocre.

If you are aiming to attain 35 Hz - 30 Hz, the parameters show this speaker will have difficulty achieving those frequencies with great efficiency. You can always tune the Martin Box higher and achieve 40 Hz - 50 Hz.

Thanks for input Elliot.

Myself and FOH engineer have already decided the Martin copies are definitely too small for these drivers, and they probably need at least 220L chamber.

Not really looking to fund custom builds, so currently looking for used, cabinets.

Fane Constructor and BCsub 18 design, are two of my favorites.

Either design should allow you to reach 40 Hz using that driver.

Hey levyte, thanks for reply...

As far as I know scoop compatible drivers must have: FS -35 / QES -35 / QTS -35 / VAS -360 / BL +24 / XMAX +7

18LW2420:
Fs 33 Hz
Qes 0.33
Qts 0.31
Vas 255 lt.
BL 24.6 Tm
Xmax 10 mm

It passed all the requirements.. it is very similar with TBX100 thats a tested and prove driver...what makes you think its not appropriate for scoop?

B&C 18TBX100 maybe impressive to some in a Scoop, to the more demanding Scoop owners, it is classed as average.

I know what T/S Scoop Compatible drivers typically have, I was the one who requested the creation of the Scoop forum over 15x years ago, and also originally posted, the typical T/S parms, for Scoop compatible drivers.Wink

There is a difference between a driver that is optimal for Scoops, and what will work, somewhat.

Manufacturers, have locked onto this, and now actual state, certain drivers are great in Scoops.

If you had read the Scoop forum, you would have seen detailed discussions, of what many class as characteristics of optimal Scoop drivers, as opposed to cheaper drivers, that might work.

Finally, this is not the Scoop Forum, suggest you request admin, to move this thread, there.
