It's easier to use wood for ports.

Guys, I'd like to ask for advice on whether I should build the original 18Sound sub cabinet or try to improve. Making 6 of these.
I have the required 12" drivers for this design. However, are the round ports as good as slots? Maybe tapered slots would work quieter? Or this third option. Looks elegant but it will probably need to be modeled and adjusted in Hornresp to make sure it's equivalent Basically looking for highest performing compact sub, so this general design looked good. Would you use round ports? Thanks. |
