Hey all 🙂

I'm used to buying from dealers for PA gear for a reduced rate. Is there such a person for DJ kit? I'm looking for CDJs and Mixer.

Thanks!

There is no significant discount on pioneer, a few % from retail. Occasionally there are a few special deals, but at the moment there are massive supply shortages just like most production equipment, so really not the tine to be chasing cheap deals!

As Chris said, There is so little money to be made on DJ kit it's not always worth going through a distributor.

Might be worth having a word with Marcus (chunkydj) on here, he works for the main Pioneer retailer in London. But as Chris says above, i expect the margins on these are tiny.
Be seeing you.

"i expect the margins on these are tiny."

They most probably make up for that with the margins on their spares!  Dead

AFAIK CDJ's are unavailable until about March next year along with a lot of other Pioneer stuff. Unless you're lucky and find someone who still has stock..
It's just bits of paper flapping about in a box.

I have had good experiences with Knight Sound & Light. A few miles west from Pentonville though.

Ah yes the pursuit of better Pioneer DJ prices!
Margins are tight like CSG said - and as much as we would like to help people where possible there isn't the stock around at the moment. For every one unit arriving theres 15 people that want it.

The misconception is 'none coming in until xyz' but the truth is many key lines are coming in regularly but not anywhere near the amount needed to cover the backorder.
Obscure, less 'industry standard' items like DJM750 and DDJ-SRT, DJS-1000 are going to be months away as they are prioritising CDJ3k, DJM900 etc etc and whilst I'm happy to do a squeeze for someone on the forum, it doesn't get them a unit any quicker BUT payment gets you in the queue for cdj3000 and djm900 which is currently about 5-7 weeks. If you aren't ready to part with any dosh, then yeah, I reckon April until things level back out and supply meets demand.

Stay safe and sane noise boys and girls!
