Hi all, as usual my cheap semi disposable rig has spiralled leading me to impulse buy 4 Celestion FTR18 4080HDX and 4 FTR15 3070E. Any suggestions for sub and kick boxes for these would be greatly appreciated! Music will be DnB, Dubstep and Old Skool hard core. I have a Crest CA9 and P4801, so I'm considering doubling up on these or maybe looking for 1 larger Crest or Crown. Thanks a lot Luke

I have some FTR18s in a simple reflex box, they work well and have a good balance between being able to play low while having relatively good 'punch'.
My $0.02, cheers

Really depends what you’re after the 18s are quite a versatile driver! Ligwa use them in scoops to okay effect! They work great in USBs and other bandpass cabs, also work okay in less demanding horns and ultimately they’re a reflex driver so do well in reflex! I have no experience with the 15s unfortunately

thanks tor the replies. Atm, I have a pair of Peavey UL118 reflex cabs which I will try the 18s in. I can't find any info on the cabs, does anyone have anything on the original specs and frequency response? |
