Question regarding Amcron MacroTech amps.

Colleague wants to mic, amp and sub his bass drum..
He has one HZ SB600 as a sub..also mics (Shure and AKG D112)
I was going to lend him one of my old Bose 1800's (series ones) but
looking at the SB600 the two coil inputs if both used present 4ohms..
and the old Bose, when bridged, must see 8 ohms..

So.. looking at Crown user sheets it would appear that the MacroTechs (601,1201 and 2401) can, when bridged, drive into 4 ohm with no problems..
So, question one ..is this correct ?
(when bridged they can drive into 4 ohms all evening ?)

Does any have any more info on the HZ SB600 ?
(reaching out to djeddie here as, looking through older posts,
he seems to know a fair bit about them..

And, lastly, does anyone know of a nice MacroTech anywhere ?
Not so keen on e-bay..colleague missed two..
but I suggested he holds off impulse purchases until I find out about bridge mode into 4 ohms..

Why Crown/Amcron..I used them back in the day and they never
gave out or caused problems (mind these were the much older DC150's)
so just have a soft spot for them..happy to be advised otherwise..

all best
Nick

Yes. The Crown Macro-tech (and the Micro-tech) can drive 4 ohms Bridged Mono all day with no issues providing you feed them enough current. They can also drive 1 ohm loads, Parallel-Mono configured.

Best Regards,
