That's very hard to control and can make a terrible mess. You might get away with it after a lot of practice on scrap parts, but I wouldn't... The Scotch 77 is much better for this application and is used in the industry (including at Martin Audio when I was there). But yes it is very expensive. |

I've never used the Scotch 77 stuff, but have used several generic contact sprays, including the Evo & never had any problem. What exactly do you mean by "terrible mess"? I think that you just need to be careful & use careful, short bursts & not spray the stuff all over the place like a maniac!!  |

if you're doing foam on the inside of the grill, other glues make a spidery mess.
but if you're gluing foam to the outside of the grill, then others are probably fine. |

Ok. I usually stick the foam on the inside, but have had to repair a few with the foam external. Never really noticed the problem. Maybe I've been lucky.

As per forum recommendations, I used the 3m super 77 to refoam a basys rig (foam inside the grill), its about £13 off amazon.
Honestly, dont waste your time using anything else, super 77 works exactly how you hope it would. the results are very impressive.
