I have the opportunity to buy some Lab Gruppen IPD series (2400) for a good price. First question is does/has anyone here use these and have any opinions based on their experience? I don’t have any experience using switch mode DSP amps. I have been running QSC RMX on my mid/top section for some years and these have always been reliable with no issues (other than the weight!) For context I currently use the DSP on my “reggae style preamp” for all processing. so I have a few questions if anyone has input it would be greatly appreciated … Bullet tweeters & compression drivers: do I stick with well power matched RMX amps or use the overpowered DSP amp with appropriate limiting in place? Pros/cons Mid section (190 - 1.5kz): currently running a relatively well power matched RMX 4050 HD with 40% headroom above driver/load RMS rating . Stick with this or go with the DSP amp with only 20% headroom above RMS rafting of driver/load. *I understand that more headroom is always preferable but I’ve never got close to clipping the QSC with these mids.. thanks in advance Edited by gardenite - 23 February 2026 at 12:05pm |

Then you don't need buy a replacement. The QSC RMX offers more than enough headroom for the job. Best Regards,
