Yes I was a bit wary of them too, but faced with a number of the 8 way speakons to wire up I thought it was worth trying. No problems so far.

Trick is to heatshrink the two wires next to each other (and tin them together) so you're only trying to hold one large cable onto the connector rather than two!
Oh, and 2.5mm cable is sufficient for connections within any cabinet since they're never more than half a metre long anyway. |
