or individual files below...

Bink Audio Test CD

Bink%20Audio%20Test%20CD

I was always unhappy working in live sound with the usual recording studio or home audio test CDs I've seen in the last 20 years so I made one of my own. I believe it is better suited than most for the Live Sound mixer to carry around.

If you have a slow connection via dial-up then the best hope you have for getting the test files is by downloading them individually. Here they all are... Right-click on each one to Save Link/Target As.

  1. Left Right

Hi,

This is going to sound like a get out, but I really don't remember any of the names of the singers or tracks I have. I have aspergers syndrome and baecause of my love for numbers, don't have the abilty to remember names. I don't mine not knowing singers names, but I hate it when someone walks into the demo room and I have to look at there name badge to remember who they are, very frustrating.

Yes jamie, one song I play does start with what the world needs know is love sweet love. Its a beautiful song and I play it more because of what it says rather than it being a good test track. There's a message in there somewhere, ha ha.

Tom from this forum also has aspergers, but as he is a lot younger than me has not yet learnt to react in a way people expect. I still want to be really upfront, direct and in ya face, but know this dosen't work with most people, so I have learnt how to hold conversations with people without offending them, ha, well most of the time. When I was younger it was really bad. Up untill the age of 30, no one could be in a room with me for more than 10 mins. I just did there heads in that much. So some of you might need to reconsider how you treated tom on this forum.

Here is a link to a site with a small amount of info about aspergers syndrome.

That's interesting Rog!

I employ a young chap that has exactly the same condition, aspergers syndrome.

He's amazing on the subjects he loves, computer networks happen to be his thing and he gobbles up information like nobody else I know and works very very fast... truelly gifted.

Keeping him on track and not distracted can be very hard, and he does tend to get a bit cocky / big headed at times tho (sometimes undeservidly).

Ha ha, yep it will be hard for you, but keep at it as he will reward you in other ways.

Distraction is the biggest problem for me too. Its why I can't work in the UK. I have to be in a place where do one can talk to me or contact me.

It would also be good if you start to teach him how he is expected to act in public. Its a hard thing as you have no contol over your actions and you just think you are being yourself. He's going to have to learn how to act very well and know whats expected of him if he is to lead a normal life. I have servere aspergers and if I'm with people I know know and have to act all day I will be compleatly worn out by the end of the day.

Its why I drank all the time when I came to see you Mykey. I haven't had one drink after I got back to china and my comfort zone. But if I'm with new people and different surroundings then one way to cope is too drink lots and be in a state where nothing matters. Its a crap way of doing it, but saves me from being worn out all the time from the acting.

Don't know if anyones heard of a group called Afterlife. I very strongly recommend one of their albums:

Afterlife - Speck Of Gold

Fantastic chillout, ambient album with fantastic bass lines and melodies.
