I was wondering how many sheets it takes to make one 186 horn.
The sheets available at the local lumber store are 4x8 feet. I don't want to go and buy too many sheets, and waste money. Thanks. |

two 1850 bins uses around 3 and a half sheets. (so 4).
the 186 will pretty much use the same amount.
allow two sheets per bin - this leaves enough to make the braces etc

@speakerslapper
sounds about right, a friend in southampton built a pair of 1850 about a year ago and used a little over 3 sheets, i think he got both cabs minus the mouth braces out of the 3 8'x4' sheets |
