Irations bass is one of the best sounding. I find his top end horrendous. Tubbs Has the best top end of the big sounds, (although I'm hearing Shiloh soon so we'll see abot that...)But I think High Pressure from Leeds has the nicest top end I've ever heard from anyone. Period. They know what they're doing, if only they had a bigger rig...

Many use to say the 186's played rounder & sounded deeper than the 1850's & that the 1850 was more brutal, but as I didn't own any 186's I couldn't test this for myself.

From the specs the 1850's are 800w & the 186's are 700w. I believe these are RMS ratings.

The older ones use to show 100w less for each then the specs were updated.
Although I kept hearing there was no actual change to the driver & the specs were changed as it was realized & noticed how much both these drivers could take.

i agree

i actually think, despite being brutally loud, that earthquake is one of the worst sounding.

iration steppas is one of the best - really clean sound, and i like it even more when they use comp's only, rather than piezo's as well.

Earthquake not to bad on the bass, personally i think Shanti, Jah Voice n Iration sound alot better. I dont think the folded horns give the right type of bass

But i hate his top section, very harsh sounding IMO!!

Yeah, now I remember... king erthquake, have heavy tunes and play it whit the 1850 and what kind of boxes over it?

15 reflex, more 15's, 8's and piezos

tbh i dont like that system at all, only the 21" foldeds, the rest i find quite unsatisfying to listen too.

15" reflex by the look of it, same as shiloh, iration, aba, tabot... pretty much everyone (apart from someone on here who has HD15s)
EDIT: remember, earthquakes 1850s are modified.
