I`m using HH ma100 amp , it has low sound quality but it is a real mule in the world of amps ... a few years ago we use it 4 days on the party without break believe or not ... it is so reliable like no other .... the friend burn it with power generator , but after a little repare it`s working like brand new ... I`m also pluggin` e guitar with pedalboard in it with no problems

I am currently the owner of two Peavey CS1000's from the 1980's The still run perfectly fine. could maybe do with a few connections replaced to tidy them up but they both work fine.
Out of curiosity what are these worth now-a-days? Thanks, Beinn

Depending on cosmetic condition, around £150 to £200 mark. A really clean one might even make more.

Yeah, the CS800 was a real workhorse - dread to think what all the CS's have seen over the years as they always keep running no matter what conditions.

I have a pair of CS400's here Gavin, bought these around 20 years ago,and have only used them twice i think....also have a pair of the plug-in PL150 crossover modules for them, which,if you run the amps bridged, give you 2x 400w into 8 ohms above 150hz,great for running some small mid-tops etc.
The CS400 must be the most over-engineered little amp ever built,16 TO3 output devices per amp,big 4.5 inch fan,DDT limiting, massive transformer, all to produce just 2x200w! No wonder they last so long. |

Wow - we used to use the 400, fantastic thing - bullit proof. That fan, remember that breathing hot air all night on me, whispering sweet nothings in my ear , DDT prooved pretty useful when the DJ events started to happen aswell. Great pic .
