RCL makes budget bins, a bit of a step up from the ordinary Skytronic, etc. I believe Mykey knows the chap behind them.

Yeah but if you stuck a PD driver in it would the cabinet take it? And would it sound any good? Because the production quality of crap, erm, I mean products from china is very low.

They'd hold up as well as they would in CV bins.

I suggest you rephrase the second part of your sentence, Richard.

Mate products that come from china which are made for companies in the uk, like pa speakers, mixers etc... are known to be not made as well as products made in the uk. Everyone I know agrees that chinese production quality is not as good as british.

Ooh, sneaky edit there, eh Richard? Don't worry about it.

My point is that it is all down to the a combination of local factors to the factory. You can't generalise about a country that easily, Richard.

BTW, Where are the amps you are buying made, Richard?

From the UK Deadbeat, i'm buying 2 2nd hand QSC PLX-3002 amps which were made in the uk years and years ago, before everyone (companies) decided to forget about build and production quality to make more profit and use the chins to make their gear. By the way, i'm a sneaky fellow so a snealy edit was called for. Wink

Made in the UK?
QSC is an American company, Richard, if you haven't realised.

The factories in China can produce good or bad gear. You just have to pick wisely.
My point is that you simply can't make such sweeping generalizations.
