Hi I want to build some USB cabs and just wanted to ask if the Celestion driver is worth the Cab :)

Nah I just want to know if someone here on the forum tested the two available drivers :
FTR18-4080FD 1000 Watt and the FTR18-4080F     600 Watt .

Or is it better to buy a driver like    PD184 , Beyma 18P1000 , Fane 18XB , Fane Colossus 18B600 , P-audio < PD186.

Whats about the PD186 driver that is also listed in the USB-Bin driver List?
Is the PD186 just too big to fit or is there a way to make it fit without changing dimensions of the USB.

I'm thinking of building 4 USBs with TSE 112 on top and 3 X1 on the ground.

You'd be better off building TSE118 clones with these drivers in - match your current stack.
Because setting different delays for different cabs in the same frequency range isn't exactly good practice - unless you live in a 'certain' area.

Sorry to bother.

I'm going to build the X1-USB combination with the TSE112 on top.

I know more of the turbos would be great but i ithink I'm going to use the plans I have.
I never built a cabinet on my own and I want to make the experience.

As this will be my first cabinets I will start off with the X1-Letterbox with V-18 1000 drivers.
And then the USBs with the FTR18-4080FD 1000 drivers.

When the X1s are finished i will use them together with the turbos because the TSE118 is not very powerfull in the low end.

And after I built some USBs, I'll change the TSE118 to USBs.

I'll have a use for the TSE118 as I know 2 bands which may need a mobile system to make gigs with.

Do you think this is a good combination?

I thought of 3 X1- Letterbox lying on the grond with 6-8 USBs on them and 2 maybe 4 TSE112 on top.

Sounds a bit utopic for a beginner, but I think it's gonna be an intresting time.

Sounds like a plan then.

The TSE-112 is a 10" driver with 2x1" comps on a manifold.
The recommended xover point is 250hz

The ES18-BPH goes higher than the USB apparently - I'd strongly point you in that direction.

So maybe it would be better to build Mt122 or Mt121 instead of the TSE112?
Or how about Porn Horns

the 10" tse will be happy to 200hz where you can cross the usbs. If you are using the usbs as upper bass, go for something like a PD.184 or even better, a fane 18B600. The low qts will give you a tighter and richer upper bass. Pd.186 and fane xbs are only good for <110hz really. The celestions are somewhere in the middle. An "all rounder" if you will.

I want to get the "maximum" "punch" out of the USBs and the X1 will hopefully help to get some additional "root-sound" to the punch (and the SUB-Bass that would miss without X1s)
I looked at the datasheets of the TSE111 ( I don't have TSE112s but TSE111s [sorry I didn't look close enought]) and the frequency spektrum says 200Hz cutoff would be absolutely ok.

Will I get enought satisfying kick bass out of the recommended Celestion FTR18-4080FD 1000w?

As we are playing mostly tekno music it's fundamental to punch the people :)
