Hello, i'm precisely interested in reproducing the 80hz-250hz range, since i have C-subs below 80hz and R2Sh above 250hz: ommiting the piece of wood which gives separated the throat volume from the start of the horn is maybe a bit radical, but would it be an idea to reduce its depth by half in order to do such frequency range ? seems an odd product to rip off/push as it really isn't suited to the cheapo DJ setup. What are you gonna achieve with a couple of these - certainly not earth rumbling bass

Yes.........They do sell some sh*te. They are fine for odd bits and bobs in an emergency (they are only round the corner from me).
These are probably a step up from the piezo / skytronic / generic crap they sell.

Dont think they are Celestion. I was shown a couple of `their` drivers. 15" + 18". Looked very much like unbranded chinese. Cast chassis if i remember correctly |

looking at the other cabs in the "range" it looks like they use Celestion drivers.

Well these cabs have seen the light of day.
Price has gone up £200 since i saw them. Hope the build quality has gone up. Flimsey curved section, Wood screws securing access panel!

By removing the front chamber he's made it into a single fold offset driver horn. You can model this on hornresp if you wish, there's a tool for it.

Looks definetly like it will go louder, throw further, with reduced sub. Taken away BP and made a full FLH he has. Increase rear chamber to lower response. |

does it not turn a band pass into a horn - a very short horn at that?

I theory it won't go as low but it should also perform better higher up. Might make it more of an 80Hz upwards kick bin rather than a 60Hz and up cab.

the curved reflector makes no difference. ommiting the piece of wood which gives seperated the throat volume from the start of the horn DOES and WILL make a big difference. i'm guessing it wont go as as low or sound as good
