hey guys. got the pics of my rig now (my sound system name is vortex sound systems). was halfway through painting the top cabs when i took the pic. but let me know what u think!

i have had this system upto 116dB A - weighted at one metre. ran out of gain still had some more amp power! it was loud!!! (even with the big ear defenders i had on.)

the carlsbro isnt mine any more. its my mates. just using it to power the x15's till i get another matrix amp. see the kit list in my previous post to find out whats all there

the PX12's are my latest build. they are the p audio C12mb and the bmd-450. sound lush!!! 186's are loaded with omega 18's. they sound great too.

any way

enjoy.

iain

My rig and me. ( digi drives have now been replaced by digi drive plus and we no longer need the rack mounted micro wave! Bottle of rum with coke for mixer still essential). allen and heath mix wizard 12:2 mk3 feeding that with a zone 6:2 for the dj. (ps, dont stack bins as shown cos they dont couple with the ground properly, you just get loads of mid bass (+65hz up).

PISSHEAD : thats one cramped amp case :-)

I dont have a nice system to show off..

Anyone noticed that the BEHRINGER ep1500 is so cheap,is the power ratings not even RMS but peak?

i dunno what to say about the behringer amps. that is the rms rating. but..........it does say in the manual that if you push the amp into cliping its protection circuits will kick in and turn the amp off.... also warns about the amp turning off when too much bass is played.....

so really i didnt want to go with an amp like that... seeing as dnb is bass intesive!! got a matrix str3000h for my bass and that has only got DC protection and current clamps for over loading. cant be doing with all this added protection bollocks! a good sound technician should know the limits of its gear.

the behringers are cheep tho and weigh nothing which is attractive.

does any one have them? would like to know how they ACTUALLY perform.

cheers iain

8 x PD154 loaded HD15's (Dom/Filth/Dagobah), only 6 in the picture
2 x Turbo TSE111 (Equinox nightclub apparantly)
QSC RMX1850HD
QSC RMX4050HD (9Bar Soundsystem)
2 x Technics 1200mk2's
One Mackie SRM450
Behringer VMX100 & Gemini 626i Mixer (I know, I know)
Behringer Behringer Ultradrive
8U Flight Case
A large rucsac full of 4 x 4mm Vandamme Speakon and various XLR leads.

Taken me about 18 months to get to where I am now, but I want more

A much better mixer
Generator
Behringer Ultracurve
Some X1's or more HD15's unsure about that
Another RMX4050HD
2 more TSE111's
A second SRM450 or pair of better monitors
Try an Aphex 204 perhapsonitor
