1). use the lighting page at the bottom of the main menu.....
2). what kind of size venues, what budget, inside or outside, blah blah blah..... smoke/haze is already massively discussed, and lasers is pretty much pay for what u get!!

Really, if you want to know about lasers go to www.photonlexicon.com/forums
More information than you can shake a coherent stick of light at.
£300 - £400 for hazer and laser is not much really, and you don't get much laser for a few hundred quid. also, if you're looking at class 3b lasers, make sure you're aware of the safety implications.

You really don't want a punter, or yourself, getting an eyefull of laser beam. Kieran |

If you have to ask you don't know enough....
Lasers burn your eyes out. The lasers they use for corrective surgery are as small as 150mW in cases.
In the USA they don't allow crowd scanning with anything over 5mW without hard to obtain variances. In the UK (if the H&S are doing their job) you should be required to produce calculations to show MPE (maximum permissible exposure) is not exceeded in the crowd zones, or you simply don't crowd scan. In the UK we have a Health and Safety Executive document that covers it - HSG95 (£10)
The subject is huge, the maths mind boggling.... photonlexicon may be a really good eye opener and source of info ;)
