Can someone post a photo of the internals , from reports it may be an identical copy / standard of the marathon ma5000, cerwin vega cv5000 , american audio 5000 , or Top Gear trx5000. all chinese muscle amps . The crown chasis / external built quality looks the most inferior of the bunch. |

There were photos on this thread proving the Crown XLS 5000 is a copy of the QSC 5050, made by Phonic, for Crown. They have been deleted for "some" reason. QSC 5050 Phonic XP5000 Crown XLS 5000 Edited by levyte357 - 15 March 2013 at 3:27pm |

anybody know if this amp could be for 4 X 1850?... i red in crown that if you want get one, it will be better multiply from 1.6 to 2.5 (depend of the music you will play) from the totally power that you want....
pd1850 = 800W 8 ohms ( 4 ohms 1600w) channel one = 1600W x 1.6 = 2560W.... i think that will be smaller.... no? |

That crown XLS5000 is a beast. The power supply is semi three steps class H dual. I just bought my fifth one. I have two of the five amps currently in Trinidad. I expect my nephew to be calling me soon to tell me he walks far away when that amp kicks out the bass with the awesome headroom. I am talking mobile or outside gigs here.

Well, looks like not same class, not even same manufacturer. (Whatever happened to Crown?) but same series number. I've got 2 x Crown XLS 1000 and they are CRAP!!!

Crown only cares about the I-Tech Amps now. Thats where the big bucks are for Crown. It is a shame since Crown used to make great amp before. Most of the other amps are made in China now. I guess they are also trying to compete with the cheap stuff like Behringer etc.

Funkyparrot, sorry that you got stuck with that that XLS1000 class D light amp . I never trusted those new rev XLS amps. I love my old school XLS 5000 with heavy transformers and massive capacitor than that switching power supply fitering in the new XLS 1000 etc.
