Then we added delay just by way of a tape measure (not taking exact measurements from drawings or taking group delay etc in account.)

the difference was incredible. jake fielder can vouch for this.

Did anyone bother to find the exact delays for the xtro?

I guess one way to do it is theoretically taking lengt & group delay into account, is group delay the sum of phase delay & lenght?
The other way must be a practical test, usually i just do this the primitive way by puttin one driver out of phase, playing the crossover frequency & adjusting the delay until the spl is at the lowest level. I know there's more proffesional ways to do this too:-)
With this procedure i found that my 15" tms-2 bph are out of phase with my tse 118 like tt1000 boxes, quite a surprise! The 18" phase must invert in the box somehow.

There is a word doc with the recommended settings kicking about somewhere, it includes delay and eq.

I was thinking for the xt8 combi with a different 1" section, I don't think it needs eq like the original design

I might as well continue off topic with regards to the sale & show what I found in a document with google:

2x Punisher/1x X-tro processor settings

I think that is the one I was thinking of. Obviously if you are using xt8 with a different 1" there will be a difference with xover, delay, eq. The xt8 should be able to play up a little higher for a start. If you are using a HF horn/driver no one else is it will be up to you to work out the settings. It might  be worth mentioning which you are using (or is it  the CP380M as in Saul's post?).

Hi, I thought that the delays would be the same.
I didn't decide on hf driver yet. but I'm not too worried about setting this.

I can't say for certain but they probably would be for the XT8. You would have to measure one (with a tape measure) and compare to the original wooden horn in the plan. If you use a different HF horn they will be different though, I don't think the original recommended horn is available any more.

then we're back to first question:
