you are right! I will change it(and I will install socket too).

It is a shame, crown doesn't have point test of static DC voltage (without signal input) table for critical sectiosn of its amplifiers, this will be fantastic in order to find the posible damage part.

No, but you can't miss them, 2 pairs of 6A diodes, a pair each for the low/high side sections. They're at either end of the output PCB.

Flywheel diodes (MT2400 board) but you have same,as same design:

If you right-click on the picture you'll be given several options
(in FireFox anyway, most likely with other web browsers too),
amongst them:
'open image in new tab' where you'll be able to zoom in and out
using the Ctrl button and your mouse wheel
and
'Save Image'
