Yeah and delaying by horn path is always gonna be way off. You might as well do it by ear.

Yeh 9 does sound too much. Would be interesting to know as wanted to delay them better for tomorrow night.. 1-3ish sounds more like it

Se groupdelay graph from hornresp, should be some sims around.

Delay is xover frequency & gain dependent, meaning that over the response the delay changes, also gaining more than mids will raise acoustic xover point and lowering more than mids will lower the acoustic xover (draw it out & see:-) -This means that changing gains will also slightly changed the delay needed.

I stick to just testing in & out of phase, listening to loudest & lowest output.

Best way of all is probably a measurement.
Remember the delay depends on your tops.
Your tops have to be delayed by the sub delay, minus the topdelay at the xoverpoint.
