if you want to see a perfect example of a throat exit to horn, look at Minimaxils Terra horn, SMOOTH as a bar of galaxy chocolate

I understand that your type of throat is nicer, but letterbox-type of throat gives less throat chamber volume with longer length of horn!

yes looks something like that, but it really canĀ“t be letterbox cause you drop the speaker in for the top , but you can do it with the Mk3

MG218 v3 in 3d without front panel
Response SCOOP mode:

Response Folded Horn:

HR data for Scoop-mode:

for FH mode put Ap=0...

In scoop mode drivers will work in open air... It will be better cooling of them..

looking good!

Looking forward to some dims so I can get building!

Out of interest how do you make S5 = 7564.

I make 56.4 x 116.4 = 6565ish...

it is phantom part of horn...
ok... put 6565 and see differences! Wink

real horn length of WSX is ~1.8meters, but 0.3m is phantom length
total length of WSX horn = 2.1m

in MG218 there is the same situation...

Finally, MG218 v3 in SCOOP mode has smooth response, extremely high sensitivity and good cooling for drivers... ... in theory...
