Me too! he has no chance of getting anyway near that sort of money and to be honest it's would really only be be of interest to a collector, I can't see anyone going to work with it.

Realistically its worth around £100, is someone going to tell him he has more chance of selling sand to arabs than getting £1000 for it?
Be seeing you.

I have a reply from the owner of the Matamp mixer.

It's actually worth $2000 (roughly £1400).
And this comes from Matamp USA.
I've since been offered £500.

Surprised?

There are some crazy collectors in the US. I have sold valve amps to the US, but for a sensible price.

I can't imagine what you would do with such a mixer? A valve amp..yes, but a noisy unfriendly old mixer?? What???

Matamp as in Mathew Mathias designed Mixers, crossovers, and valve guitar amps. He also designed Orange amps, which were made by Cliff Cooper in Huddersfield. The guitar amps were sold as Matamp t'up north, and Orange down south. There is NO mention I know of with a US manufacture. This info is from my trusty US ' The Tube Amp Book'. A valued reference.

Interestingly to add up north Marshall were badged as Park.

So anyone got some INPUT for this mixer???

I know Matt did a few one off mixers I recently saw an 8 channel version of the pa desk but it was mono and a real mess, he also did a modular version of the stereo supernova but it was junked as he didn't like the "feel" of it and wasn't happy with the components that were used to build it.

Colin
This is a Citronic SMP606 mixer in white for Squires and was Black for Citronic  they are pretty rare now  I had one years ago that I built into a console with Technics belt drives   But this is the only one I dont have now
Where was this I didnt see it on Ebay   Would be interested to know or if its still available

Martin I did try get it for you because I knew you would want it, I was bidding on a console (pic below) the item was at 99p for most of the week I had already bid 105.98 and it was still at 99p a few min's before my internet died (thanks virgin) the idea was to get the bit I wanted (I'll leave you to guess what) and then sell the other bit's off but alas it wasn't to be someone beat me by 2 quid!!! This is the console it sold for £107.98

Hi colin and anyone else intrested. I was the winning bidder on this lot and Iam only really intrested in the two turntables. So if anyone is intrested in any of the other bits please get in touch.
I will try and gets some better pics up in the next day or so.

Mikey, could you perhaps post a photo or two of two boxes at the back as well?, they look like they're NAB jingle machines which I could be interested in.

I'm always interested in Pulsar kit too, so if you're going to break the console, I could be up for the zero 3000 unit.

I reckon Martin will be up for the mixer, and I suspect I'll bump into him sometime over the summer months down at Andy(HH)'s place so could help with logistics?

Greg
