As i'm on Linux and wrecked my Wine a friend (danke Michi) helped me with a sim on AJhorn.
So here we go with 90Volts. Oberton 18 NXB1600 in a Staiper Mini Scoop MS18-MK2: Thanks for your help... Edit: could it be an idea to start something like what in other cabinets threads happens that commited hornresp users post sims for various drivers? PD.1851 would be an interesting one e.g. Edited by Diaz - 09 January 2017 at 10:04am |

Sorry not understood?
I have very good experience with new & old rcf for FLH, RLH & BR, just not tapped so far, but my friends in Peru are very happy about their L18X451 loaded Keystone subs (tapped horns) |

Yeah they always seem to be standing back. I wave on occasion, but they always seem to have a rear vent that brings something back. Edited by Aman Gebru - 08 January 2017 at 2:09am |

I have vey good experiences with hornresp & real life I must say, with exception from a rcf loaded tapped horn, there seems to be some standing waves and the vents on the back of the magnet are doing noise, no reason for blaming hornresp for not taking this into acount.
If you have it already see if you can find a similar cab for a test. Otherwise I'd recommend the 1601 driver as it is designed for horn more than 1600 |

I could draw up plan for 21" Mini Scoop, but it wouldn't be for free.. Or for sale.
I'd be more likely, to draw up plan, get it built, let prospective buyers hear cab playing, order some. |

NBX-1601 is called "for horn application", higher BL & EBP, a bit lighter cone also.
But I'd still do a sim and compare to a driver that people like in there:-) Edited by tv00 - 06 January 2017 at 2:22pm |

If you have the drawings of the cab programming a cnc is easy peasy.
Especially if you have the dxf file or something like that it only takes ten minutes and the router can start to do its thing. Nulling the cnc every time with tool changes and loading the material is the time consuming part. |

Best regards,
Teun. |

Yeah, that's the question, sold my 21"s, got a bunch of other cabs instead now, invaders tsw 721s, mach ms118s (1850 cabs)
Building from scratch takes time, finding someone that can actually program cnc takes even longer! I found 3 persons so far the last few years, claiming to be able to do it, nothing happened yet, probably I'm better of trying southwest cnc or starting the tablesaw:-) |
