Please forgive me if  have missed this in earlier posts...

Assuming specified P.audio driver is mounted "correctly" in smallest rear chamber possible, with the 740 CD on specified horn, what are the crossover points for this kinda mid top?

Thought I saw 130 and 10K somewhere, but shirley I'm wrong...

Thanks in advance...

Please don't flame... I don't smoke..... well.

http://www.proaudioparts.co.uk/pornhorn.asp

It is 130hz-2.5khz for the 12 inch porn horn and 2.2khz-20khz for the 1.5 inch porn horn.

I have heard a whisper that Loophole was  setting his x-over point higher than 130 because of performance problems. However, his dutty box is full so I can't pm him to find out all the details.

cleared my inbox now
i generally run mine at 150, cos the hd's will play hat high comfortably, and it allows me to push the porns that bit harder. its not so much that they wont play to 130, but that the hd's sound better at that freq, and take a lot of the strain off the mids

You use them over hds? Have you heard them over 1850s?

i havent heard them over 1850's alone. i use them above hd15s. i cant see any reason they wouldnt sound fine though, disjunkt use their 1850s right up to 200 to cross to phillies (bit dodge IMO, but sounds good enuff) and thats more than high enough for porns..

its been ages since ive had the system out, but i usually play my 12's up to 2.1 if im remembering right - i find they need a 6 or 12db slope eq'ed up from about 1.4k though, as well as a 2.5db-ish dip around 600. there's usually one more eq on the mids to get them sounding sweet, but beyond these first main two, room acoustics dominate...
