@Lewis, did you measure current draw for 40hz test in 4 ohm stereo mode?

I lent my 10k and 4 x turbo 21's 780L's to a mate for a night to test. Few months ago now.

Outdoors in a large tent, had to turn it down and limit it when the marquee was full, there was too much bass.

The smaller 4000's sound lovely clean and clear on tops.
In bass no one can hear you scream!

4000 is too small for driving subs.

Was thinking for 1x 4 ohm sub per channel.

You would be suprised, how many amps with impressive specs, fail at this task.

Even the illustrious Crown MA3600VZ, ran out of steam.

i've used them for 1 or 2 void loaded X1s a side for about 10 years.. they're still going strong. one cone developed a rip once so i think i'm at the limit of what i'd give them.

quite happy with the sound, was using matrix xp3000, 1 sub a side before that.

I've been offered a unit, for fairly cheap price, but sceptical as a result of xd6000 performance.

Trying not to go big iron, driving 4 ohm drivers.

i've never used an xd6000. but if you don't like it.. i wouldn't expect you'd like the xd4000 so.

The xd6000 had decent power, but even though rated at 3kwpc at 4 ohms, just like Matrix XT7000MF, on sub notes, could not match Void 8MK2,only rated at 2500wpc at 4ohms.

That's why I'm sceptical, regarding  XD4000, reproducing rated power at 4 ohms on sub notes.
