according to their site... “Its output is monstrous, yet so pleasant to listen to. There is nothing comparable on the planet. I challenge any line array solution, at any price, to even approach the Jericho Horn’s performance.” “This is reference quality typically only heard at close distances, yet being delivered at hundreds of feet away.” http://www.prosoundweb.com/article/danley_sound_labs_to_introduce_the_jericho_horn_at_infocomm_2010/

Danley is a F! mad genius.
I think I will have to start making trips to church(s) just so I can here some of these things. I mean who else can afford them... jamwa - 10hz? You referring ot the DTS 10? If so they sold it as a DIY kit end of last year for $1K US. Specialized drivers based on the Lab 12. |

I've never heard anything from danley but just had a flick through their website and their stuff seems amazing. Do you guys know anywhere in the UK where some of these can be heard?

No UK distributor, I'm afraid. I have checked. Several times. |

Someone from Scotland(?) on PSW/LAB was posting that he is in the process of buying some Danley kit. As far as I am aware, the nearest distributor is in Poland (Sound Mission?) - they also cover Germany - and there is a web site (with a Euro-price list somewhere?): (http://www.soundmission.eu/pb/wp_c7941726/wp_c7941726.html). Like many specialist manufacturers in the States, Danley probably need a European importer and local distribution network rather than a UK-only importer due to the high cost in bringing over small amounts of gear. It's only when a distributor can afford to bring over container loads of gear that the European price becomes acceptable - as anyone who has imported small amounts of US sourced gear will testify, the shipping costs along with import duties/VAT etc are horrendous, and make small scale/personal imports prohibitively expensive. Oh, yes, and the fact that the Pound is so low against the dollar doesn't help matters - instead of the UK (Pound) price being about 80% of the US (dollar) price, currently UK prices are about the same level as the dollar price (ie a $3000 piece of kit will cost around £3000 in the UK).

For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.

Seems that each of the 6 18" LF drivers is loading a simple frontloaded c-folded horn, no tapped horn technology anymore...?
btw, I didn't know that Danley released a TH-118... |
