For the intended purpose they may not be *that* bad. 3x 6 + 1" CD is worlds apart from a £10 15" woofer + 10 x fake piezos. If they're 95dB/watt it'll be nearly 100dB/Watt total - should throw out a decent sound with 200 Watts. For a first step up from Argo hifi or modern boomboxes from 'Beats' etc it seems to make sense but the copy text is atrocious.

Just checked the price - £220!! Was expecting <£125. Much better options around for sure but I doubt it's gonna offend anyone's ears 3 decent quality 6 inches should sound good.

http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Alto-Trouper-Small-Venue-PA-System/16GI?utm_medium=display&network=criteo&retargeting_or_placement=retargeting&utm_source=criteo Facebook ads are getting too clever by half. It picked up that I'd been viewing the Numark box and provided an ad for this...Looks like it's just a rebadged Alto with LEDs. Alto are not known for being overpriced crap, they're typically cheap but passable.

Which kind of makes sense, since both Numark and Alto are part of the inMusic group along with M-Audio, Alesis and Akai. http://www.inmusicbrands.com/

£220 a pair and they would fly off the shelves!... stick a bass bin under them and you would see them pop up at weddings and school discos across the land. AND im not being sarcastic either!

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Perhaps the bass box can house a smoke machine and strobe too
For bigger gigs you will want boxes that squirt water with each beat

actually looking at the video as LFX i quite like those numarks. "giant VU meter" is a rave / disco classic.

That tractor towed rig is actually awesome. The balding office type behind the decks sets it off brilliantly
