I have just secured a venue in Southend for 5 days to demo the new system to anyone who is interested. The Venue is the Royal Hotel which is located at the bottom of Southend High Street. I'm doing 5 days to leave more scope time wise for people to attend. The dates are 8-12 November inclusive which is a Monday to Friday. 6-11 pm every night. I will be there most of the time but won't be switching on until 6pm.
The system will be powered up with Matrix amps
Come down to Southend for the day and enjoy yourselves, also bring your own CD's if you want to.
Food is on untill 9pm and booze 'till we fall over.

ps - now might be a good time to run off some more deck isolators so when forgetful people like me turn up they can buy some of those too

This Demo is as much about getting feedback as anything else. It definitely is not a sales pitch. This could be the first time this bunch of components have been put together, especially with the co-axil driver. The sound is different in the vocal range, and I think for the better, but I really need other people to tell me that. It's another chance to get together, play some music and generally have a laugh. As I mentioned earlier, the rig will be up for grabs if anyone want's to try it out on a gig. Cost of transport covered only, the rest is free, including me.
Southend is just 1 1/2 hours out of London. You could also take home some rock.

Having made these arrangements, I have since been told that on the wednesday I can't attend because it my youngest daughters birthday and I'm out somewhere, but the post will be manned by an able bodied friend. He doesn't know it yet but he will by tomorrow.
As time goes on leading up to the start, perhaps people will let me know who will attending, and on what day, nothing to hold anyone to, but just a rough idea, as I will have to put a few pennies aside for the bar.

Yes I will have the system for sometime, it's probably the last system I will ever do. And the answer to your problem-- switch location. Honeymoon in Southend. I'm sure your new wife will love it. It will be great start to married life.

hey

I would SO love to make it down.  Have a friend in london will see what the flights etc are like and he may well have a guest for a couple of days. Smile 

Annoyingly I am down in southampton engineering for part of the next week as well, would have been easier to make the trip over since i'll be all the way down from scotland those days anyway Smile


(lol although if you want a real world test for your system Tony there will be a very good U2 tribute act (and a passible sound engineer! Tongue)  playing at the The Waterside Sports & Social Club, wherever that is, in southampton on Saturday the 20th! Tongue   not sure what or how big the venue actually is or even if it'll be busy!)
