so have you modeled the rear chamber for the driver or have you literally
tilted it just so it fits, everything else staying the same? Designs without
speaker recommendations scare me.

modelling shmodelling. we are using decware style "make it fit and see what
happens" prototyping at this early phase. as mike points out, this is highly
unscientific and not the chosen methods of most forum members here.

the 10" version has a driver recommended, but we aren't really through by
damn with the 12". i susepct box dimensions will be wiggled a tad to help
make everything fit/tune properly when we have a better idea of modelling.

I'm with James.  Sometimes you just have to guess a bit, build it and listen. Models can only tell you so much in any case.

What does a Hornresp simulation look like? Oh, or has no-one done one yet?  If not I'll give it a go sometime.

finally people interested in this cab. been loving these subs for the past 2 years, there pretty wierd but i like 'em. my home stereo for the past 8 months has been using one of the beytma loaded 12" variants running 2 way crossed at 80ish hz to some old monitor audios, it can sound amazing but i still cant decide where to delay the mid tops to, in the process of playing with it ive found some stupidly wrong settings (7M delay on midtops...)can sound really good in a bizzare way.

i cant decide whats the right setting , the measured delay sounds pretty good but maybe not quie right. either way if you put 1200w into one of the beyma (or eminence omega for that matter) loaded boxes , a sh*tload of bass comes out, its punchy and low as an added bonus. few weeks back was doing the pa for a wrong gig using 2 wicked ones, 2 martin 215's and some tops. at one point someone played some dubstep, sounded huge considering the ammount of drivers being used.

if this has been modeled in cad can someone send me the dimensions/volumes of the various compartments and horn sections, worked it out once but stupidly painted over it (was on the side of the cab) wanna try putting it through horn resp...again.

highly reccomended as a stereo sub too ...the beyma loaded box sounds good even at really low volume.

if anyone cares to get tech and model the box id be interested to find out what it says...

...they gave you what?

Have had a quick guess and play with Hornresp but I don't have the dimensions so really have been guessing!  Hasn't looked nice so far...

I'll try to work it up in AutoCAD tonight.  It doesn't look too hard.

I figure 135cm path length 35L front chamber approx, and about the same rear(isnt critical) throat area ~300cm^2,depends on depth.Assuming 30cm internal.

hmm :P

what driver have you modelled that for mike? plus is that the scaled for 12"
version (taller box, bigger dimensions all round + angled baffle changes
volume of chambers occupied by timber) or is that the 10" as shown on
decware?

also, how have you tackled the dual driver aspect? have you done multiple
drivers and then summed the csa of the various sections of the two horns/
ports, front and rear chambers?

looking at the decware forum quite a few of them have been disapointed
with the 12" version compared to the 10". have you guys built both?

yes, well, rich has, but i haven't heard it with the spec drivers. the 10" was
loaded with ten buck pyramid car woofers from parts express, whilst i
was amazed at the output in terms of bang per buck (it was used as a
pecker rig with some wharfedale pro 15"+1" and rocked a good few
basement parties) i didn't think it was all that musical.

the 12" versions were loaded with lanza car drivers for starters, they
weren't particularly nice. enter the beyma 12" lx60 and all of a sudden it's
like it's a different box... well i mean it is really... but anyway, as soon as
rich bought a load of them i started to really like this cabinet. i have one
of those first 12" boxes loaded with eminence omega pros, not quite as
nice as the beymas but it still does the job under my martin 215s.

I'd like to see it modeled with the Emmy HL-10A.  The price is right.

If you still have it loaded in Hornresp, a 1pi plot would be nice
