transformer ?
i prefer re-use transformers from mini-HiFi components
better construction
better primary/secondary insulation

not toroïd > better mains'noise attenuation

i've fixed a Cambrige amplifier with a transformer from a Philips Mini HiFi system
on Cambride , the worst toroïd , made in china by childrens ?
il was dead , short-circuit in primary

on Philis a good Tam-radio E-I transformer  fitted with good magnetic shield

Don't suppose anyone has a circuit diagram for the PSL 2401? I have 2 of them and 3 out of 4 channels have a little too much DC offset. Thanks

Bose entero 4400

4 x 400W/8ohm
2 x 900W/8ohm (I measured 2 x 903Watts rms @ 40Hz).  I don't recommend 4ohm bridge load, this amp is happy with 4 x 4ohm or 2 x 8ohm.
Very sweet sounding and flawless amp. Almost silent at idle, no fan noise at all and they are responding really fast for increasing or decreasing loads. This amp really does what they claim in product manual.

I think this Bose Entero is a rebadged version of the Bittner 4X DUAL Series, maybe slightly modified:

I had two Entero 4400's once, both with failures. My repair guy said that they were beyond economical repair. Not that this says anything about the reliability of these amps...

I'm suprised they even bothered with descrete components in this,a chip-amp would have produced 2x45w no problem.
Be seeing you.

You COULD of had a pair of clone 405 amps in there for a minimum of DOUBLE the output...

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Carlsbro powerline pro 2000

Compared to Tamp TA1400,  look at the difference.  Output power? Measured almost the same!  Carlsbro has rail voltage of 2x110V (class ab), Tamp 2x115V (class-h, upper voltge).

Had to repair one of these (got 3 for a good price!).  Solder joint failure.

There seems to be many chinese amps having the same guts..  Pretty good amp tho, just not quite as powerful as they claim.  Soft start circuit (I wish the relay never fails to disconnect!), good clipping behaviour, nice sound quality..
I measured 1300-1400W/8ohm bridged, RMS sine wave @ 40Hz, mains voltage dropped from 230 to 220V which indeed makes things worse.  Tried to measure 4ohm bridged, but it blew the 16A mains fuse.

Mosfet amplifier module from ACS active 2x18 subwoofer.  Two amps in bridge configuration (16 fets total, 2SJ56 / SK176 pairs).  Going to put this thing to a 3U rack enclosure to be used as stereo or bridge mode, very good sounding amp it is! Measured around 1kW rms / 8ohm. Rail voltage +/-95Volts, needs bigger tranny (higher VA rating). Propably more capacitance for filtering, there is 2x10000µF.

One of the driver pcb:
