Here's a Peavey GPS4300 with the heatsink off..
this one kept dying for 'no reason' - found some transistors were mis-matched.
i also found that some of the hair-thin tracks had rotted :-(

i've gotta say - i quite enjoy the more unusual amps.. I have a good stock of Peavey DECA's and Carver PM1.5's  - both at least 10 years ahead of their time.

Peavey GPS vile amps, work great but the HV tracks are too close together. Dust and smoke machine will kill them

haha - although i've retired from clubs, we always made them build a fan cooled amp room.
raves were a different story... if an amp goes down, don't even think of bringing a cold one in from the truck ! I used to have to explain to artists who turned up mid-event, why their DAT tapes were now wrapped round the head-drum :-D

Amp room? You sound pampered. In stoke you'd be lucky to get space next to the bar glasswasher

And no doubt most of the board who are too young to realise what he is on about are now convinced that Tony has finally gone absolutely raving mad! And you tell the youth of today.......
