Is that Friss's post signature at the bottom or a comment on the subject of the photo?

[QUOTE=Teunos]Took the lid of some amps. First up Renkus Heinz P2500. Can anybody confirm this is identical to the Crest P7001 (it has a crest badge and print on the back and puts out the same as the P7001). They are made into a 7001 case (with different front pannel) but there only a 6001 power supply. They used the 7001 case as it had two fans rathan than the 6001 which only had one fan. The output modules are the same as a 7001. The one pictured is a very early one - I can tell from the display board, its one of the orginal (older) boards with the earlier design of protection. Christ that's an old one! Nice to see my earth bonding lasted the distance. Interesting the protect module is still the original, those usually only lasted a few months before they died.

Ecler NPA4000T. This is a monster - makes an EV P3000 seem small and light!

Thanks for the confirmation! very usefull to know what it is. This P2500 doesn't seem to suffer from a smaller (if what you say is true) psu. The P2500 puts out 65V at 8r 50Hz sine just before distorion and 56V at 4r 50Hz sine before any distortion. They surely do the job for me in my new (well, the rack is used and needs painting) mid-hi racks. But thanks!

have to admit, that is nicely built.
not 100% crazy on the number of ribbon connectors, and the leaded components on the amp board .. but overall, I have to say, they did a really nice job. it is indeed a thing of beauty. I feel left out now by not pasting the pictures a zillion times and adding two words at the end .. |
