I hope those fans are powerful!

We will try to get the temperature readings during the battle at 2 ohms.
Though this has 4 fans, 2 in front and 2 in rear. So I guess the midpart is a bit hot.

and how much output left when mains drop ? Too bad, without PFC, this monster will never give its full performance.

Sidebar Arthur, Marjan, etc., can PFC be implemented in an analog amp design? If so please state current big boy bass amps ( not Power soft, Lab, etc.,) that incorporate it....

Can you state which analog BJT designs incorporate PFC as I am unaware of any outside the modern digital Power soft, Lab Gruppen, etc.

yes PFC can be added in traditional linear power supply.
for the second part of the message, yes they are switching amps that can deliver continuous bass. it's all related to design philosophy. In other words, burst vs continuous...
But I guess that 2kw RMS is not so marketing friendly than 7kw peak whatever nano-second rating no-sens. Especially considering the cost of these pmpo monsters Embarrassed

Would be willing to send few units but DHL or UPS freight charges would be expensive considering the weight of this amp. Smile
