I have serviced Music-Son from the early eighties till about 2000 and I have never even seen these things come in for service. It can be ~50 years old by the look of the components. |

I´ve had a few of their guitar and bass amps in for service over the years, but never one of these. Musicson definitely have their fan club down here. Many people I know started out on them and have fond memories. Anyway - also had a couple of these in for repair: Chalk and cheese with the Musicson. Both PRX amp boards had blown TVS diodes (bottom right in the last photo), although the other also had some other issues. Is that a common problem with these (I mean the TVS)? Just in case, I did replace with higher power devices. Edited by Earplug - 29 October 2017 at 12:33pm |

Hello from Romania. Does anyone know what power this amplifier has that I found nothing about it on the internet. I only know it is class H, 2 step +/- 50vDC and +/- 100vDC
Thank you! |

the rear sockets also look like a RAM layout. Take the lid screws out, then put them back in again. If the threads immediately strip, its a RAM
