isnt an aluminium front panel a bit silly for resonances ??

it also shows a pic of the throat with driver removed - would this odd shape not load the speaker cone differently from various angles ? or am i dumb ?

They pretty reasonable price wise, but I don't see how they would ever get down to 30hz.  It looks like a pretty short horn.  Maybe at a -20db

that shape is essential to the loading

imagine the baffle and driver at say  12 degrees , one side of the cone is closer to the facing surface and is taking alot of stick than the edge thats at the 12 degree end (further distance)

so the funny shape that you see...like a clowns mouth is equaling the pressure load on the driver

i hope i explained that easy enough...

Nope, it should be 6mm thick or more(and bolted) and actually work to remove heat

it would take 5 of these to reach -6db 30hz. they are only good for the kick, nothing else. Cerwin Vega beets B52 hands down even with thier Jr. Earthquake.

we've got 3 per side settup in our live room at work, takes everything they have to generate an audible 30hz. i would take some pics for you all, but i'm not alowd. apparently it posses a threat of pricing for thier company and can cause major problems with the deals being made .

we've got 3 RMX 5050 amps powering them all. not too bad, makes an output that noone has ever seen in the store... but still need work.

i'm sending a request to the big wigs of the company to get some store baught Earthquake Cerwin Vegas, atleast 8 of them for a 4 per side settup in the live room. i beleve that would be more then chest shattering in there .

I checked one of the Singles out at GC this weekend.  The aluminum plate is pretty thin.  They also seem pretty light and real small up close.

Made to sell to the "Wedding" DJ market.
