You've exceeded your private message space quota, so I'm asking you in public. What would the price be for those? Cheers, Kalle! |

Do you have any advice on where I could find designs that are "something similar to an X12" for the mentioned drivers (RCF L12p110K)? I believe that using the drivers in the X12 cabinet wouldn't work 100% (?), and I don't quite know how I should modify the cabinet design so that it would be optimal for my drivers.. Could anybody give any advice on this? Regards, Kalle! Edited by Kalle - 24 May 2006 at 8:47pm |

I would buy another two of the 12" drivers and build something similar
to an X12. Tune the cabinet high (~100Hz) to gain
efficiency. You'd probably be able to run around 2kW into per
pair 12" drivers.
That compression driver looks very nice. Put it on a large horn with good dispersion control and cross over actively around 1-1.2kHz. I'd prefer to mount the horn between the two drivers for better midrange coherence. You may find that 2x HD15's are a bit sub-light but a single 18" bandpass on each stack would soon solve that. |

Hi everybody!
I currently have a set of speakers (2 bass bins, 2 mids and 2 tops) with following elements: 4x RCF L15/554K (two elements per bass bin, reflex cabinet) as basses 2x RCF L12P110K (one element per side, closed cabinet) as mids 2x RCF N850 (one driver with a horn per side) as tops. I'm thinking of building 2 HD215's using the abovementioned bass elements. Now I'm wondering if anybody here has any good tips on suitable mid-top-cabinet plans to cover the frequency range from 180hz and upwards, and where I could use my existing mid-elements and drivers? The specs for RCF L12P110K are as follows:
(More information available from RCF's website: http://www.rcf.it/VediMacro.phtml?IDMacro=1633&m1=1& m2=1&m3=1_1_4) And specs for RCF N850 are as follows: GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
(More info from RCF's website: http://www.rcf.it/VediMacro.phtml?IDMacro=1646&m1=3& m2=0&m3=3_0_0) If anyone has any good advice on this, I'd be really grateful Cheers, Kalle! Edited by Kalle - 17 April 2006 at 12:22pm |
