Yes tek, better protection on more expensive amps...... When I 1st got them i gave one a good test & ran it hard into clip & it shut down.... I powered down waited about 30 seconds, it powered back up & all was good, I have had the clip lite ficker on heavy dances & just backed off a little to just under clip as i cant afford to toast drivers as some have with proline 3000.

Cheers for that Nick! Will pass this info onto my mate who loves them!
If that happened when you ran it hard, seems to me the protection works quite good & is effective!
(Not advising to do it, just to know it works sometimes.)
Many other amps would have carried on working but with silence out the cabs & maybe a burning smell!

Yes Tek... the protection circuitry does work, jus a bit basic & not too forgiving if mistakes happen.
I have driven x3 Fane XB per side on one occasion when i had no other option, it did ok, - for a couple of hundred £s's extra tho..... give me a 2nd hand crown 5000vz everytime. |

one per channel will give you 1300 w rms into each speaker which surely is enough and sound and protection wise 8 ohm stereo shoulb be a lot better aswell.

2 Voids a channel, 4r. Everyone will strongly advise against running 2r bridge.

1100w (8ohm) 3000w (bridge) (tried 2 void a side in the past and it clips way too early) Edited by wybinman - 16 August 2014 at 12:13pm |

Other way round, 2r stereo is 4r bridge. 2r bridge would be 1r stereo.
It's a budget amp maybe you are expecting too much form it. It you have the amp and cabs try each set up and see for yourself. |
