how much power should I give the HD15? I think it is safe to say that I can manage to use a really big battery at least 50ah or something..

What about a 1850 bin? Has 105 efficiency and drops lower then the HD.. A little bit wider but not that much of a difference from a HD215..

Martinssons 15" tapped horn....very efficient and compact box. plus dosnt need a Watt heavy driver to get the output so not drawing loads os power out of the battery....

Make a copy of a JBL 4530, loaded with a 15" JBL 2226H or modify it to accept an 18" JBL 2242H. That style of scoop is very efficient. Probably 6db over a bass reflex. This is a kick bin, meaning there's nothing under 40Hz and it is optimized for 50-120Hz. The kick is impactfull and will hit you in the chest.

You want a double 15" bass reflex. With a decent efficient driver it will be 104db 1w/1m

We just designed and built two with your exact dimensions! Not ready to release them on the world quite yet.

Why the wasted space below the horn mouth?
